Hello Embracing Disability community!

Today, I want to talk about a really important resource that some of you may already know about: DDS, or the Department of Developmental Services.

DDS is a Massachusetts-based agency that provides services and support for children and adults with disabilities—and their families. Their mission is to help make life easier and improve quality of life through a wide range of services, including:

  • Residential support

  • Transportation assistance

  • Respite care

  • And much more

Every person receiving DDS services is connected with a case worker, who serves as your go-to person for anything related to your care. If you’re looking for new services, have questions, or run into problems, your case worker is there to help guide and advocate for you.
